The board has decided that we will require all eligible participants to be fully vaccinated, including boosters.  This is in keeping with many other performance ensembles on the Cape and elsewhere. When you come to the first rehearsal, we will have a few people checking your vaccine cards when you pick up your music.  We have received some good feedback regarding exactly what it means to be “fully vaccinated” and, in order to help reassure members of the vaccination status of everyone around them, we trust that you will help us to implement this policy as honestly as possible.

No winds for now: The town of Harwich has implemented a strict mask policy in all town buildings, including the Community Center.  After numerous discussions with the folks at the Community Center, there are no exceptions that can be made.  As a result, no wind players will be able to participate in rehearsals until further notice. We are currently exploring options to have separate wind rehearsals and will be in touch if this is feasible.

Music Exchange: The musician librarian will not be at the next orchestra rehearsal on Wednesday, 1/19. If you plan on attending the rehearsal on 1/19 and do not have your music, please contact Donald Gauland to arrange a time to pick it up from his home.If you are not planning on playing this season, please contact me to arrange returning your folder. Spring concert dates: Currently we have not scheduled Spring concert venues. With the tenuous nature of the rehearsal season we may have to have a “rehearsal only” spring season however we again are working to do what we can.
