Student Scholarships

The Cape Community Orchestra is offering two scholarships for students who wish to study music over the summer of 2026. One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a current high school music student and one $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a current middle school music student.

The criteria is as follows:

High School

• • Student must demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in studying music
  • Student must have a record of good standing in their school community
  • Student must be enrolled in a public, private, charter, or accredited homeschool organization
  • Student must submit one music teacher recommendation
  • Student must submit one 350 word essay describing the importance of music in their life, how the student will use this scholarship to enhance their own musicianship, any leadership role(s) in their community, and how this scholarship will augment their contribution to their community.

Middle School

• • Student must demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in studying music
  • Student must have a record of good standing in their school community
  • Student must be enrolled in a public, private, charter, or accredited homeschool organization
  • Student must submit one music teacher recommendation
  • Student must submit one 250 word essay describing the importance of music in their life, how the student will use this scholarship to enhance their own musicianship, and how this scholarship will help them contribute to their community.
